This is the third installment of the C41 Process project and now after I’ve become more aware of what I’m doing, I can give you an insight into the project and the thought behind it.
Once the photos are developed the selected ones move into a folder called picks and from there they became C41 Process Part one, Part two and now Part three.
The look, colour (ha!), feel, framing or something else evoked a certain feeling in me. It could be described as a feeling of appreciation or a reaction to a particular aesthetic whereby I wanted to take another photo with this collection in my mind.
So now after three installments it’s become apparent that this project has freedom of subject and no real restrictions which is terrific! But where is it heading? What is the point?
A visual narrative began after taking, collating and posting these photographs which documents part of myself and those around me in what could be described as a selective overview. Colourful, fun, bizarre, beautiful, interesting are some of the descriptors I’d use for these photographs and which leads me back to my point.
I just want to share these photographs with others, that’s the point to this website/project, sharing what I see and my story with other people.
Instead of the title of C41 Process alternatively it could be called ‘Things I’ve seen and liked’, I mean that is essentially what’s going on right? But I think ‘Things I’ve seen, liked and want to share’ is a better fit.
Once again I hope you enjoy.
